HALAD UG GASA: A Compendium of Good Practices in Region 7 (Central Visayas) is a collection of reference documents of replicable good practices of Local Government Units (LGUs) in region 7 in line with the Good Practices in Local Governance: Facility for Adaptation and Replication (GO-FAR) Project of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Each reference document of a model LGU serves as the main project document to help replicating LGUs understand the good practice and how it was implemented. It also serves as the main project description that will help in the understanding of the various aspects of the replicable practice and strategies of implementation. In a nutshell, it provides replicating LGUs with a ready template which they can modify in developing their own program or project.
DILG-Region 7 came up with the compendium to address the felt-need of LGUs to have a ready reference or menu of good practices, especially those that are similarly situated as the model LGUs. It is DILG-7’s offer (HALAD) and gift (GASA) to its precious LGUs in pursuit of excellence in local governance.
